New "Double Acting" Tranporter offers new options for robotic or press-to-press transfer

 The new “Double-Acting” version is the latest addition
to Industrial Magnetics, Inc.’s Magnetic Transporter®
LP line designed to magnetically transfer steel
blanks, stampings, and parts in automated station to
station, press-to-press transfer and robotic pick-and-
place systems and offer more options for pick-up
points on stamped parts, accurate placement on the
die, and a significant reduction in shop air
consumption and costs over vacuum cups.
Engineered with powerful Rare Earth magnets that
positively hold the part during transfer, the
new “double-acting” version requires just a short
burst of shop air to activate or deactivate the
magnet, allowing the magnetic field to be “turned off”
and thereby offering ultra precise pickup on the part
with minimal air consumption.
Ideal for applications in the Appliance,
Automotive, and Office Furniture industries
where multiple Transporters® are required, as
the “double-acting” version eliminates the need for an
accumulator tank and offers more precise pickup with
faster cycle times than the original, stand-alone
version of the Transporter.
Designed to directly replace vacuum cups with only
minor tooling adjustments, the Transporter® LP’s
lightweight, low profile design allows for minimal die
clearance and can be easily installed to existing air
connections on tooling booms or robotic face plates.
