For Immediate Release: Demagnetizers Prevent Metal Fines Buildup On Tools
Posted On 8/13/2007 By Industrial Magnetics, Inc.
 Industrial Magnetics, Inc. offers
Surface-Type Demagnetizers to remove magnetic charges and
prevent fine metal buildup on work-hardened steel
surfaces. Applications include tool
& die, machine shops, gear or bearing manufacturers, molds,
or generally anywhere metal parts are manufactured in a
production environment. Surface-
Type Demagnetizers can be used as stationary or portable
units and are typically installed under, above or alongside
a conveyor prior to the next step in production or
packaging. As a metal work piece
passes over or alongside the Demagnetizer face plate, its
magnetic charge is dissipated, preventing the attraction of
fine metal particles to its surface. IMI Demagnetizers provide intermittent or
continuous duty operation, and are available with standard
surface areas ranging from 4-3/4" W x 8" L to 16" W x 22"
L; custom surface area sizes available upon request. Units
are equipped with integrated side handles for hand-held
operation, durable phenolic face plates and 120, 240 or 480
VAC configurations.
